Just had to post..

This was one of those "impromptu" pictures....Hey Madi, go run over by Daddy.....I just loved the looks on their faces. ( And it's not often we see Daddy in uniform because he always changes at work.....lol )

What $25 will buy!!

Since Madison just loved Miss K's slide....we really wanted to get one for Madi. After pricing them ( $90...yikes, are you kidding me?? ) I borrowed one ( Thanks Chelle!) and then.....lo and behold, I was driving by a yard sale and I couldn't believe this was for sale.....but really couldn't believe it was only $25!! whoo--hooo.......the kids are having a great time!
Mr L watches as Madi goes down backwards
Plop!!

The 4th of July

Miss K and the Coppertone girl play in the pool on the 4th. Madison seemed to have more fun swimming then she did watching the fireworks. Although the glowsticks at night was a big hit with her. ( Thanks for those and the party Jen!!) Sliding down Miss K's slide. Of course Barbie came along for the ride too.

And then the daredevil decides to experiment!!

She's just loving that slide!

It's just too bad she doesn't like to swim

I think what will get Madison through life is her determination to do EVERYTHING as best as she can, and by herself. ( This right now is a blessing AND a curse!!) She loved getting up on the lilypads by herself and jump off, just like the big kids do.

And it's too bad no one likes Madi....and theres never anyone looking after her....lol

The big girl gets up, all by herself.

Mr J and Miss B having fun with their mommies.

Nana made a lot of new friends here too.

Making new friends.

Miss K does her best impression of a frogman.

Until we get swim lessons, on occasion I take her life vest off and have her jump off the side to teach her the basics of getting herself to the surface. She's mastered that pretty good....and also learned its much better to hold her nose before she jumps.

Not sure if Miss N is directing airplanes in or telling the lifeguards the water is cold.

Last days with Nana

Smiling .....despite the 105 heat index and the sweat rolling down our faces!! Having lunch with Nana!
"Daffy Duck".....actually a type of seagull......had a broken left wing ( although it's tough to see it in this pic) so we nursed it overnight and took it to a bird sanctuary the next day. We still need to go back and see if Daffy's ok.

At the park with Boudreaux.....Mr B follows her up the stairs. Nice to see he's protective of her....even though she does pull his tail quite a bit.

Sometimes it feels better for her just to put on a ballcap and let it soak up the sweat, then trying to put those curls up in a ponytail!!

At the airport.....last pictures with Nana...

Kissy-Kissy Nana.....thanks for spending time with me!! We'll miss you!

best of both worlds

" Hannah Montana" made an appearance at a very special birthday party for our friend Isabel. Miss Isabel turned the young age of 70 and she got to hear "hannah" sing. The karaoke DJ never laughed so hard at the end when he saw how theatrical she got. She was just warming up here....lol.

She was even gracious enough to share the stage with jake.

The party was held on base at a small restaurant we have called the Sunset Lounge. Unfortunately, it was a not so very sunny day.....only nice and hot. So much for watching a sun set. The adults were karaoke-ing and having a great time. Even " Nana, " who said, "you won't catch me up there!" had a good time "on stage."

We had the best of both worlds there, both young and old had a great time. We're blessed to have such good friends.

The guest of honor. Only 21 as the cake says!!

beach time

Beach Buddies...fun day in the sun

Trying to figure out how to make the sand toys work without watering the sand a bit....it just doesn't quite work!

Sand toys on the beach....much better than using them in a sand box at home!!

needing a little water to use the sand toys!

Jog at just the right speed as not to tip the bucket!

Do you think Mattel had this in mind when they made beach barbie??

First Mate

Getting ready to become Daddy's new First Mate

But maybe by sitting on the other side of the boat first

And away they go....

Learning to steer

Daddy told her to turn , so she turned her head instead!

See? it's as easy as that!

neighbors are fun

Is there any place better for a dumptruck??

telling Nana to walk out further to find shells
Every good ball player practices in their bathing suit

Uhm....maybe if we look at the ball long enough it'll magically jump in our gloves

We told her she had to watch the ball...so she watched the glove instead!

Goin to the beach

Went one afternoon to the beach on Key West Naval station....had lunch at the picnic tables and then got to swim...
And look for shells since the water is so clear here.......

And squish our toes in the sand.......

And then watch the jets come in....

"daddy's jets"

Comin' in for a landing....

And there it goes.....

And the rain starts.....

What a great Sunny Key West day!!

oops......out of order picture!! Telling Nana she has to come look for shells and put them in her bucket!
